In an ever changing world some traditions and forms of art have endured the test of time. Jonathan created this beautiful modern day mosaic map that combines both the modernisation of the globe with the ancient methods of creating robust imagery using small tiles – though the map would have obviously looked very different if the Romans had made it.

In his Colluctae Bullae series, Jonathan looks at the surface of water, intermingling with beautiful spherical bubbles, and how the angles and quality of light look as they are distressed and agitated. The colours that come through are almost hypnotic with the energy jumping out of the page.

Inspired by the tempestuous nature of the world’s oceans, Turbulence is an energised set of images, full of colour and movement. As usual Jonathan brought a wealth of experience to the shoot transforming liquids thrown at surfaces in the studio into striking seascapes.
