Cymatics is the study of wave phenomena, particularly sound, and how the waves produce visible patterns. It’s also used as a therapy where sound waves are aimed at the body to improve health. In this series, I have examined standing wave patterns created using liquids in still imagery. Different patterns emerge based on the plate’s geometry and the frequency of vibration.
